Boyfriend and I had a mutual friend who is planning a wedding. As boyfriend was a groomsmen, he went with him to explore wedding venues. My Day is one of them. Returning back, he informed me when there is no wedding, they offer a semi buffet dinner. As we were in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, we decided to go here for dinner. The place is truly fit for a wedding. The place is truly fit for a wedding. There is a nice stage on one side to view the marriage certificate signing. The tables all have a good view of the stage with nothing blocking the view. There is even an outdoor area for those that want to have the ceremony part outdoors.
The buffet area is one side. They have a selection of salads and desserts. Soup and warm food is also available. Each food item was labelled in English and Chinese.
Menu is a semi buffet. Price determined by the choice of main. It also comes with a coffee or tea.
The minute we ordered, the staff arrived with two slices of toasted bread. Crispy and lots of butter on top.
Boyfriend had the cream of mushroom soup. It was creamy with a lot of mushrooms chunks in it.
I had the Chinese soup. A golgi berry, dates and wintermelon soup. Not too bad.
The salads were fresh and a decent variety.
They also had a variety of cold appetizers. Some were pretty spicy.
They also had baked oysters and scallops on the hot plate. These were fresh tasting with a nice creamy sauce on top.
We added $128 for a seafood platter as it seemed the other tables did so. It seemed like a decent amount of seafood so we followed. Definitely no regret. The seafood was fresh. There was a lobster, two crab legs, two mussels, two prawn and two whelk.
Then the mains came! They placed a hot stone plate in front of us.
They informed us to use the butter to butter the hot stone and then finish cooking our meat on it. If it gets cold, a new one can be replaced.
Then our mains were placed in front of us. I had the New Zealand lamb rack ($468). It came with some very creamy potatoes, some mint and peas and gravy. The lamb rack was good. There seemed to be a bit of mustard layered on it so it gave it some zing.
Boyfriend had the beef ribeye steak ($488). This came with a lot of roasted potatoes so he was a happy man. There was also some roasted cherry tomatoes and grilled mushrooms. The beef was most and tender with a strong beefy taste.
The buffet also had fresh fruit and dessert. I grabbed all the little pieces and shared with boyfriend. The cakes were really good. Especially the coffee mousse cake was the best.
Food was decent and definitely had no idea this place existed. Service was adequate. I saw many people here looking the venue for weddings as well. I can understand why. It's a lovely layout.
