Here's a surprise little find. A small take away shop that sells milkshakes! There aren't that many in Hong Kong. I think I can only think of three? So, when we came across this place, we were curious. Would it live up to the milkshakes we grew up with in North America?Menu is in English and Chinese with photos of all the drinks. All cost $48 unless you want to make it a bit more social media worthy. Then it costs $58. The sign also said that all milkshakes are made using Movenpick ice cream.
Boyfriend decided to get the espresso croquant milkshake and chose the $58 one to get the extra decoration on the cup. The outside of the cup was decorated with coffee grounds that were stuck on with peanut butter. Interesting. There were also two lightly toasted marshmallows on top. But aside from that, did it tasted good? It was pretty delicious. The shake was thick and creamy. And the taste! The coffee was strong and intense. It totally shone through. Portion was decent as well.
I wanted something less milk based and they did offer smoothies! I decided to get the Alice Tea Smoothie ($48). I think I loved this one more. A mix berry smoothie that had the right balance of sweetness and freshness from the fruit. There were two frozen strawberries on top as well. It was thick and I detected no big shards of ice unlike most places that offer smoothies.
Glad we discovered this place and gave it a try. The drinks were smooth and thick with a vibrant taste. And prices were not expensive at all. Would definitely be back.
