Every Friday, Intercontinental Hotel has a "Moreish Friday promotion" where you can purchase their set meals in advance with a discount. This time I tried their Chinese restaurant lunch promotion. They offer six types of sauces with three of them that are spicy which they introduce each in detail. The first dish was the crispy cucumber with fungus(or if you don't like this term, more like mushrooms). The first dish was the crispy cucumber with fungus(or if you don't like this term, more like mushrooms). The fungus was very aromatic suiting the light flavored cucumbers. The second dish was the Yan Toh Heen Superior Dumplings. They would explain each one and advise that we eat from right(green) to left(yellow) in order of how strong they taste. The dumplings were all lovely and springy while my favorite was the middle one due to its fragrant lobster flesh inside.

The "Goldfish Dumpling" definitely cute tasted as fresh as the previous dumplings.
The pear shaped glutinous dumpling had a hint of pear flavor while the sea cucumber added a great texture to it.
However, my favorite would be the ordinary looking Roast Taro Bun. There was no fatty meat inside and the bun itself was very soft and fluffy. The fried rice was not oily and lightly seasoned. Despite it was the end of the meal, you still eat all of it with ease.
The dessert was not bad though not great. Despite the mango pudding itself was perfect, the mango on top was a bit too sour. Moreover, it seems a little bit peculiar to serve it in a Chinese set meal. However, it was still a great lunch overall.
