天仁吃茶趣 (English name: 天仁吃茶趣) hails from Taiwan, the land of bubble tea. With it's first shop in Hong Kong located in Causeway Bay's Taiwanese owned bookstore, Eslite, it has now branched to many other parts of Hong Kong. It's newest location is the new Eslite bookstore in Tai Koo's Cityplaza. But what is different about this branch is that not only do they serve various version of green tea and oolong tea, they also serve soft serve ice cream. But what is different about this branch is that not only do they serve various version of green tea and oolong tea, they also serve soft serve ice cream. Formally, this was only found in Ma On San and Mong Gok but I haven't tried it yet as they were a bit far from where I live. Tai Koo is a bit closer. There is a separate queue and cashier for the soft serve section.
They have two flavors: green tea and iron buddha tea. Menu for the ice cream section is in Chinese only. But there are photos of the ice cream so I guess you can point if you can't read Chinese. You can choose to have it in a cone or a cup. Cost is $22. But for it's grand opening, they were offering a promo of two for $38.
Boyfriend and I ordered both flavors.
Matcha Soft Serve. This didn't have a strong green tea flavor and a bit more on the sweet side than on the bitter green tea side. It was still ok and I quite liked it. Soft serve was smooth and not icy at all. Cone was crunchy.
