Gyuugoku is one of my favorite stone grill chains in Hong Kong. It's a semi-buffet style restaurant. Just place an order of main course at the vending machine and you get unlimited refill of beef and veggies broth, salad, steamed rice and chopped garlic etc.The beef broth is very hearty with tons of ingredients like beef tendons, without wasting any of the unwanted cuts of the beef.I always order 200g tenderloin because of this cut has a soft texture and less fat. I always order 200g tenderloin because of this cut has a soft texture and less fat. The steak is fried on both sides with high heat in the kitchen, then served on a pipping hot stone. For those who can't eat raw beef, it's recommended to cut the meat into small pieces first in order allow the heat to cook the beef. For me, I always go for medium rare so I just enjoy slowly without cutting in advance. Chopped garlic is one of the best part of the meal. Healthy and tasty.
The stone is able to maintain high to medium heat for about 30mins. $110 for a steak lunch is really well worth it.
$110
