I’m excited to write about this place as it offers really the best value for money in Central as I'm a huge fan for sushi, omakase and Japanese food overall.At Sakura, a 12 sushi set plus dessert costs me only around HKD380 for lunch, which is a rare find in the very heart of Central. The sushi are fresh and delicious, and staff are very nice and welcoming. Every time we come here we come as a small group, and booked 良师傅 for the best value. He’s got a sense of humor and very kind to converse with us interactively. So we usually had cod, eel, scallop, toro, sea urchin, geoduck, shrimps, salmon roe, etc., the typical ingredients for omakase sushi. Except that they came in generous portions.
It was an enjoyable lunch so we came almost monthly, and the food quality has been consistently good. It was kinda like an accident that we bumped into this place some day, and hence it becomes one of our favourite place to hang out for lunch!
