Saturday night in Wanchai on a hot, humid, stormy evening. One of my favourite spots is one of the high stools at the large windows that look over Lockhart Road. I often take my iPad and catch up with the UK news and friends whilst enjoying a house margarita. Happy hour until 9pm, two for one on house margaritas, Sol beer, house wines and draft beers.To eat we alternate between Agave and Coyote, which is across the road. To eat we alternate between Agave and Coyote, which is across the road. The drink prices are a little lower in Agave, but we prefer the food in Coyote. They both offer similar menus of nachos, quesadilla, tacos, burritos etc. Big portions for for around $100-150.
Last night I wasn't so hungry, so had a bowl of guacamole with nachos, $88 and a bowl of tomato salsa, around $65. Delivered within 10 minutes, I was impressed with the portion size and freshness of both dishes. Enhanced with big splashes of Tabasco, I really enjoyed them with my drinks.
Spent a couple of hours in the bar, chatting with a big American who was in town on business. A pleasant evening, the bill came to around $400 for the food, margartia and three Sol beers (and I have the same number of vouchers for drinks for next time).
