Tea time on a happy Friday. Bought a piece of Strawberry Cake for afternoon tea.Frankly speaking, the price of $60 really seemed a bit over-priced purely by its look. Basically just the flower petals on top looked very elaborate and detailed, which was made from icing sugar. Frankly speaking, the price of $60 really seemed a bit over-priced purely by its look. Basically just the flower petals on top looked very elaborate and detailed, which was made from icing sugar. There were just a few layers of sponge cake with some jam/mousse/cream in between, which didn't seem so rare and were also available at those chained cake shops. However, as I ate it, I could taste the difference - there were really some fresh strawberry pieces in between while the cream wasn't greasy at all. However, for some reason the sponge cake was too moist, maybe because I had left it in room temperature for too long before eating. Taste-wise I could tell that it was really different from those available at chained cake shops. That said, I could only rate it an average when discounted by price.
