Seldom do I find snake shop that looks new and is brightly lit (you know they are usually old-fashioned and full of history), here in SPK you could enjoy proper snake soup in this new neighbourly eatery. There’re also clay pot rice, and a lot of soups and stews options. It’s hearty and very satiating. Both the soups tasted rich and delicious. The snake meats and Chinese ham slices were legit! There were condiments like crispy peanuts (these were good and fried fresh by the kitchen everyday), lemon leaves (very refreshing), and egg crackers (I wish these could be crispier but the box on my table wasn’t).

Sticky rice could be steamed softer but it was nice with spring onions, preserved meat and preserved sausages. Tasted nostalgic. I liked that there were veggies in the set so my diet was balanced.
