A relatively new Dai Pai Dong inspired Chinese restaurant with a modern twist run by the same group that operates Pondi right next door. There are either 3+3 or 4+4 starters and mains combination to pick. There are either 3+3 or 4+4 starters and mains combination to pick. We went for the former and ordered a foodie friend’s recommended dishes including the Crab Chawanmushi, Crispy Pigeon, Claypot Oyster with Port Wine, iconic Stir Fry King. Also added on A’s picks crispy intestine and salt and pepper king oyster mushrooms. Apart from the pigeon that was a bit under nutrition and the crab chawanmushi a tad fishy and underwhelming, all the other dishes were deliciously done. D later joined so we ordered the two available desserts(chai and almond baklava and fig sticky toffee pudding) to share and we all enjoyed the toffee pudding a lot. They seemed to be supplied by the kitchen of Pondi. Overall a delightful spot to hang out with friends over a pint after a long day at work.
