I was with a girl and we wanted to find a quiet place to sit and chat in the late afternoon. We walked over to Haven Street and as this was one of the few places that was nearly empty, we decided to go for it.The interior of the cafe is pretty neat and hip, a mixture of industrial and rustic. This is also a self-service cafe, so you have to pay before they serve.
Menu-wise extremely limited--there are a few desserts and cakes, with about 3 or 4 hot dishes. We had a chocolate cake (their cake of the day) and it was layered with cream and mousse in between each of the layers of chocolate.
I thought that the chocolate was too sweet and soft; the cake was lacking in texture. Overall not something I would recommend.
I also ordered Cappuccino and it was good. It comes in a relatively small mug (possibly just 200-250ml). The milk foam was well-frothed and proportion-wise on the spot, and the coffee had a rich aroma and a smokey aftertaste. An excellent and inexpensive Cappuccino that I would return for.
