Came here with boyfriend as I saw people posting pictures of these cute happy bowls of noodles all over social media. Anything kawaii and I'm SOLD!Located in Mong Kok, is this small little restaurant serving sour and spicy rice noodles and mince meat rice along with pickled vegetables and other things popular in Northern China. Located in Mong Kok, is this small little restaurant serving sour and spicy rice noodles and mince meat rice along with pickled vegetables and other things popular in Northern China. It has a nice blue and white color theme and was clean and tidy. Menu is in Chinese only. There is NO English. When we came, the staff informed us they were giving away a free drink (aka tea, coffee or soft drink) as it was newly opened.
All the rice and noodles were served in these super cute bowls that were winking at you. I'm such a sucker for cute things.
Pork Shank Rice Noodles ($36). Noodles can adjust the level of spicy. As I can't eat spicy food, mine was nonspicy. Soup was just regular MSG flavored soup. Nothing special but at least not overly salty. Noodles included daikon, chives, bean sprouts and tofu puffs along with pork shank. The pork shank was tender but a bit dry. The noodles were a bit mushy.
Grilled Chicken Rice Noodles ($34). Boyfriend ordered this and he asked for medium spicy. It had the sour and spicy taste to the soup and he said it wasn't too spicy. The chicken meat was a bit dry. It also included a daikon, tofu puffs and bean sprouts. He added $4 for a beancurd wrapped fish stick. The fish stick was a bit chewy and I wasn't much of a fan of it.
Grilled Chicken Wings (3 for $18). We shared three chicken wings. Chicken wings were not spicy and a bit salty. They were moist and not dry. Fairly average wings.
Inexpensive place to have noodles in a clean, tidy setting. Nice option for noodles if I were in the area.
