This was our third time having lunch at this new location on Caroline Hill Road, and possibly our last. We found out about this new location when the main shop on Tang Lung Street was full and their receptionist recommended this place to us. This new shop is a lot smaller than their main shop, and their menu prices are different, too. I got the $350 9 pcs sushi set, while my husband got the $450 12 pcs sushi set. I was slightly disappointed that the chef mainly served me white-fleshed fish. Don't get me wrong, I love white-fleshed fish when they are fresh and nicely prepared. But when they are not, they become tasteless and rubbery, and this was the case at Sushi Mori. The rice was just okay, so overall, I thought the sushi were quite bland. I could also tell that the chef wasn't very experienced. His hands were shaking when he was cutting the fish. My husband's set included an uni nigiri, and he said it tasted really bad. At the end, the chef miscounted and gave me 10 pieces of sushi. Even though I got one more piece of sushi, I wasn't satisfied after the meal. For this price, I expected a bit more. Originally, I wanted to change seats because we were sitting near the washroom, and I thought there was a smell. However, my husband told me that the smell came from their fish tank. I guess the only compliment I have for this place is the good service I received from the chef and the waitress.
