The cook at Agave has probably never tasted real mexican food. Agave prides it's self on its authentic Mexican food, yet every dish is tweaked In Agave's own special non authentic way. I got the chili con carne. I got a scoop of Luke warm mystery chili (seasoned with what?) and a scoop of tasteless spanish rice. My friend got the pescado (fish) which was okay, served with a scoop of said rice. Our sides were a small cup of watery soup for me, and a wilted salad for my friend. The meal was so flavorless, that I ordered chips and salsa for $30+ and jalapeño peppers $22, to try to spice it up.
The salsa was in fact flavorless "pico de gallo" made with unripe tomatoes and not enough salt. In the end I spent almost $300 for a substandard meal that left us hungry and unsatified in every way. The best part of the meal was the chips. The iced tea had very little ice. We left and had lunch elsewhere.
