I’ve noticed this restaurant while going to the China visa centre a few times. Came here alone before picking up my new Chinese visa from the visa centre nearby. What a mistake! The guanciale pasta was bad. The guanciale was one of the fattiest I’ve seen. It looked like 90% fat and no meat. They should get it from a normal source and pan fry the guanciale longer to reduce the fat. It was a bit fusion style with peanut shavings on the pasta which was a bit weird.
Lastly the tiramisu which needed additional charge was below average. There was no coffee/ alcoholic taste and just tasted like cheap cream with bits of savoiardi biscuit that were not soaked long enough and crunchy (not right).
Only thing that was OK was the celeriac soup.
