Häagen-Dazs was doing their much-loved buy one get one free offer for every double scoop ($69). It has a legion of followers and my friend and I got there during the last days of the promotion period. Still, there was a long queue and everyone was there either holding a double scoop for those who already ordered or was waiting in line waiting to sink their teeth into the ice cream. Although they didn’t have that wide a selection, we easily spotted what we wanted to go for. I like trying novel flavours so I got the Jasmine Raspberry & Pomegranate & Classic Milk, editions you don’t usually find in supermarkets while my friend got the Rose Raspberry & Lychee paired with Blueberry & Cream. Every lick of the ice cream tasted just like how their title described them, for those that are fruity were fruity, and those milky, incredibly milky, almost like gifts sent from heaven. I had a taste of my friend’s flavours and I couldn’t pick which one I like the most. It’s always such a difficult decision to make when I could only go for one or two flavours cause in fact I am a fan of all of them!
Because of the double cream, the ice cream did not melt easily at all and we could take our time to savour each bite. The cones that came with the ice cream were also very crunchy and it’s definitely the best cones in town as they tasted like wafer and were such a special addition to the experience. Definitely do go for the cones if you could!
With the promotion, they also gave us two coupons - one for the mooncakes and one for the ice cream drinks. Will make sure I could make use of them before they expire! Häagen-Dazs can certainly beat the heat, and make your day a lot more pleasurable.
