Dinner with 2 friends, one of us craving for Japanese and would like to try somewhere we haven't been to. The first sight is nice, neat as most Japanese restaurants and no many people were there. Uni and sashimi as set's appetizer are fresh. Portion of the Abalone is good enough, I'm not an abalone fan but do like the way they make it. Too much beef in the set, beef roll with vegetables cooked in teppanyaki style in 2 plates, these are just so so, rather dry and boring to have so much in the same style. Tempura of shrimp, fish and vegetables are ok, not high quality though. Fried rice is just ok, nothing impressive.
Overall it's not too bad, but compare to the price (we spent $2,400 for 3 people without drinks), the quality is below expectations.
The funny thing was we met the HK singer G.E.M. there, maybe the Chef was too focus to serve the artist and didn't do his best for the rest of the customers.
