Didn't want to write a negative review. I've been to Sabatini many times over the years. However on a recent visit to their holiday brunch (aka. semi brunch buffet) the quality / service of the food is just disappointing. For HKD 798 per person, Sabatini is trying to offer a semi buffet experience. At that price point, the quality of the food is simply disappointing. For HKD 798 per person, Sabatini is trying to offer a semi buffet experience. At that price point, the quality of the food is simply disappointing.
What really stood out for poor quality:
1) cold lobster - the lobster meat was tough and over done.
2) lack of options - everything comes on a pre-arranged plate. You can refill on request however Sabatini's semi buffet use to offer a wide variety of items, now there are less than 10. No cheese selection, no cold cut selection, no prawns, no salad.
3) Pasta - this comes as a surprise. Portions were stingy, bland and nothing unique.
4) Main course - unless you order the roast of the day (which usually is the lamb) all other items like the salmon and flank steak are a joke. You can cook better at home.
The price of the drink package is more versatile now with 2 options, however the options within the drink package are very limited. Quality of prosecco / white / red was table wine quality at best.
Foodies beware, I honestly think at this price point you have significantly better options else where. I think the only way to save this is to either lower the menu to $500 dollars or else improve the quality and selection.
