Popeyes only have one branch in Hong Kong and since we have sudden craving for it, we decided to go there for lunch today. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen was located at the basement level of TOP, inside the food court, just above Mongkok MTR. It was particularly busy during Sunday noon. It was queue-up system, queuing to take order and found a table to sit down. They offered several options for combo meal, ranging from fried chicken, fried shrimps, burger and rice etc. They do served combo for 2 pers
It was queue-up system, queuing to take order and found a table to sit down. They offered several options for combo meal, ranging from fried chicken, fried shrimps, burger and rice etc. They do served combo for 2 person and family etc.
We ordered 2 set, consisting of catch and hatch combo set and bonafide chicken set.
Bonafide chicken set - We chose breast and drumstick, and came with fries and a cup of soft drink. The skin was fried till very crispy and thin in texture. The meat was chewy and juicy, one of the better ones around.
Catch and hatch set consisted of chicken tender, popcorn shrimp, onion rings and a cup of soft drink. Chicken tender and popcorn shrimps were juicy and chewy and mayo and BBQ sauce were provided to dip onto it. Onion rings were fried till soft and crispy, served hot too.
Fries was fried till soft and crispy, going well with the ketchup sauce. It was of thin texture too.
