📍Twist & Buckle, Churros Specialist This is my second time eating at Twist & Buckle, Churros Specialist. I discovered it accidentally before and it is good to be back. A Churro is a type of fried dough from Spanish cuisine. It is commonly eaten for breakfast and dipped in chocolate or dulce de leche. Twist & Buckle offers cinnamon-dusted, deep fried to perfection churros. It is freshly-made, crispy and chewy. Even though it is fried,It doesn’t feel greasy at all. What baffles me is I do not fee
This is my second time eating at Twist & Buckle, Churros Specialist. I discovered it accidentally before and it is good to be back.
A Churro is a type of fried dough from Spanish cuisine. It is commonly eaten for breakfast and dipped in chocolate or dulce de leche.
Twist & Buckle offers cinnamon-dusted, deep fried to perfection churros. It is freshly-made, crispy and chewy. Even though it is fried,
It doesn’t feel greasy at all. What baffles me is I do not feel the overpowering sweetness inside my mouth especially when we ordered with ice cream.
The layout of the store is an open kitchen wherein you can see how they prepare your churros. Their service is fast and the staff are really nice.
What I ordered:
♥️ S’mores Special (~60 HKD)
- Toasted marshmallow, chocolate sauce and Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup
- If you are a toasted marshmallow fan this one is for you! The marshmallows are toasted until they are gooey and has slightly burnt to a charred, coal like crisp.
- It also comes with a graham biscuit and chocolate bar.
- This is my ultimate favorite flavor!
- Beware! This can be very STICKY!
♥️ Cookies and Cream (~60 HKD)
- White chocolate, oreo crumbs, wafer and chocolate sauce
- The milky white chocolate resembles the inside of the oreo. It also has a hint of condensed milk to it.
The ice cream is not that bad. It is simple and tastes like milk. The texture is smooth and silky. It melts fast especially in this crazy humid weather. I think it is their motive to not overpower the star of the show, the churros. It complements well with it and it is not sweet at all .
To be honest, this price is a bit so-so when you are a tourist. But when it comes to taste, quality and amount (specials churros is already good for 2!) it is definitely WORTH IT!
In addition, @twistandbuckle also offers a gift box, which is perfect for takeaways, office, school or party! You can choose any sauce including, chocolate sauce, hazelnut ,salted caramel sauce and dulce de leche. 1 BOX ( 6 pcs + 3 sauces of your choice) is only 168 HKD !
I will comeback again and try their other flavors of churros! They have a lot to choose from!
This is a MUST TRY!
They are indeed a SPECIALIST when it comes to churros!
