Saw other people's Instagram posts about this visually satisfying purple yam soft serve and decided to go for a try. There was a bit of line up at 9 so I was hoping it's an ok store. I ordered a mixed soft ice cream (yam and sea salt) but boy did I regret paying 30 bucks for done tasteless ice cream! For some reason the store decided that it is a good idea to combine yam and sea salt. It was a disastrous combination! The sea salt ice cream melts like crazy while the yam side is super frozen. The textures just don’t mix properly in a cup. You will end up scooping up the sea salt ice cream
because it melts instantaneously.
Flavour:
The famous yam has no taste at all. All I got from the yam ice cream was milk and sugar. Sea salt though is a surprise. The lightly savory flavor neutralizes the heavy milk taste. I recommend this refreshing flavor but not purple yam.
