Had really high expectations for this restaurant esp it being it Chungking mansions, home to a lot of Middle Eastern and Indian restaurants but sadly was quite disappointed. The staff were very kind and friendly however food quality wise, the dishes felt very sweetened, perhaps they had done so to match with the palate and spice tolerance of the HK people? Butter Chicken felt heavily ketchupy and sweet, it lacked that Indian spice and kick that blows you away. Chicken Biryani and Samosa chat was

Butter Chicken felt heavily ketchupy and sweet, it lacked that Indian spice and kick that blows you away. Chicken Biryani and Samosa chat was ok, not amazing or memorable, just mediocre.
Only thing I really enjoyed and would recommend highly is the Palak Paneer. Very delicious, perfectly spiced and was not sweetened, true to its Indian taste and will recommend to anyone to try it!
Hygeine wise, the place had a very funky smell and smelt very old and strange. It did not feel well ventilated so was very stuffy and had a very unpleasing smell. Hope that they can freshen up the place and maintain good hygeine as the smell was too strong upon entering the restaurant
Overall, a bit disappointing experience, food did not taste fresh and felt overly sweet, not spicy at all either. The name itself says Delhi Club, so it should live up to its name and make really authentic Indian food, hope they can update their dishes and really stick true to its name!
