My shredded chicken & fish ball mee in prawn soup was served with a seafood aroma. First sip of broth wasn't as prawn taste as I thought it would be. Noodle was given generously, both yau mee and vermicelli; while only few shredded chicken was topped. They have topped the noodle with sprouts, bean curd and spring onion but I would suggest to give more so as to add more crunch and herby flavour to the broth. Half an egg was also served while a bit overcooked, texture was tough.
Ipoh bean sprouts was a light dish. Felt like to eat some vegetables after some strong flavour. As expected, sprouts were crunchy and light. The topped paste was blend. Didn't help much of the flavour. Hint of soy sauce gave some saltiness. Nothing special.
Meal set included a drink which I ordered ice lemongrass red tea. A very sweet tea with no lemongrass flavour. Couldn't ask for without syrup, but overly sweet honestly. No tea flavour too. Couldn't finish it at all.
All in all, good deal for afternoon tea set, nothing special.
