An unexpected late tea suggested by my gourmet friend; this place was said to be quite popular among the visitors to Elements. The scallop carpaccio was less appealing than shown on the menu and the taste was fair but a bit mundane. The 5-sashimi rice set was a bargain at this price; the seafood was very fresh and the portions generous. The Japanese rice was authentic sushi rice.
The salmon roe's natural salinity rendered it superfluous for any additional seasoning. The breaded oysters were king-sized and crispy on the outside and filling inside - very satisfactory. The lightly breaded tofu in seaweed was appetizing and the texture and taste was made more complex by the thin breaded coat.
All in all, reasonable and fulfilling at a price of $315 per head.
