We just had lunch at Charlie Brown Cafe in TSTE. We thought this restaurant would provide high quality of food and service, but it turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments!The mode of service run by this restaurant is self-service, which is ok but the staffs there were very unfriendly. We waited 35-40 minutes for our food to be served, which were grilled Sole fillets and mini burger platter. The mode of service run by this restaurant is self-service, which is ok but the staffs there were very unfriendly. We waited 35-40 minutes for our food to be served, which were grilled Sole fillets and mini burger platter. The chicken mince in the burger platter tasted very off and unfresh~ we do not know why we have to pay HK$118 for this burger platter! The Sole fillet costed HK$98 ~ nothing special about this dish, it's just some fillets defreezed from the freezer and fried.
What was really disappointing about this restaurant was the really poor service there! When I arrived, I said to a staff, 2 adults and 1 baby. A male staff looked quite annoyed and said, "what?" in a very rude way.
Later, a female staff explained to me the restaurant was run as self-service mode, so customers can just look for tables they want to sit at. We also asked for 2 cups of water, and later the staffs told us we have to buy water from the counter. I just feel annoyed how we are charged so expensively and the restaurant is so stingy that they won't even serve water.
We were quite upset after having lunch there, and it looks like we won't ever go there again. I don't understand why this restaurant is recommended by the HK Tourism Quality Board? sigh......
