Came here for Yum Cha with my mother-in-law because she likes the Char Siew here. To be honest, the food here is pretty good and that’s why we come here although the food is pricier. However, the service today was appalling. We were seated at a table by the wall and they parked a service table right in front of us. We had to watch them warm up food, clear up food and add hot water to tea pots. There was no privacy at all and we had to look at the dirty dishes they were clearing from other tables
However, the service today was appalling. We were seated at a table by the wall and they parked a service table right in front of us. We had to watch them warm up food, clear up food and add hot water to tea pots. There was no privacy at all and we had to look at the dirty dishes they were clearing from other tables. What’s worse was the managers were arguing and talking at the top their voice while warming up food on the service table.
Next was the wait for food. We ordered the food at 12.15pm but an hour later we were still waiting for some dishes. We asked the waitress and most ignored us. Finally there was one that was attentive and tried to sort it out for us. Bless her.
They are probably short-staffed and I don’t blame the waiters and waitresses but the management should really look into this. I would not hesitate to bring visiting friends here for food because like I said the food is good, but with service like that, I definitely wouldn’t. It’ll be embarrassing.
