A quick after-work treat on my way home. I was walking home through Harbour city and decided to stop at Honeymoon desserts for a snack. I ordered the glutinous rice balls and mango on vanilla ice. A quick after-work treat on my way home. I was walking home through Harbour city and decided to stop at Honeymoon desserts for a snack.

I ordered the glutinous rice balls and mango on vanilla ice. The texture of the rice balls was good, a little crunch still but mostly sticky and gloopy with something inside (I'm not certain what, white-ish in colour and the size of a small blueberry). The mango was soft and ripe and super sweet. The vanilla ice was initially a surprise for me, (I'm not a big desert eater), it was made up of vanilla cream and flakes of ice. Service and environment are nothing special. If you're new to this kind of food court style place then the payment system may be a little strange, you order and if you're paying by octopus it's easy, you pay then and there, if you pay by cash or card you're given a receipt and sent off to go and pay at the general payment counter. When you pay you get given a second receipt which you have to use to claim you food. I went late, around 10pm so it was easy to get a seat but you'd probably have to fight for seats at the weekend.
