Art fair weekend brings boyfriend and I for a quick bite before heading to the Asia Contemporary Art Fair nearby. As most places one this busy weekend was packed with people, we came here as it was very very quiet.Can-teen is run by Maxim's and is their fancier version of their MX Express line. It serves basically the same thing as MX Express but just a few dollars more. I have no idea why that is? Perhaps it's due to their location as one is in Admiralty and the other is in Prince's Building, C

When we arrived, they had their tea set menu up. Ordering is like any fast food outlet: you order and pay in cash at the cashier. You then go to the counter and they place your prepared meal on a tray. There is no 10% service charge. Menu (found on a board on the wall) is in English and Chinese.
I ordered this. Pasta with bolognese sauce. Pasta was made to order and it was actually al dente. The bolognese sauce was pretty good. Something I always find fairly consistent with among Maxim's group. The sauce was meaty with a nice amount of tomato. Yes, no herbs were actually used nor was there cheese, but this is a very Hong Kong style pasta sauce. Fast, quick. Inexpensive. It came with a drink. What more can one ask for? It beats going to McDs.
