Friend and I were looking for a Western restaurant in the area and came across this in the new Youth Square off Chai Wan Road. There are a couple restaurants in this civic youth center, I saw Palco and a Shanghainese one on the 4th floor. We ordered 1) risotto with prawns, tomatoes and gorgonzola cheese and 2) spaghetti with black truffle and wild mushrooms to share. We ordered 1) risotto with prawns, tomatoes and gorgonzola cheese and 2) spaghetti with black truffle and wild mushrooms to share. Both came out better than expected. The risotto was cooked nicely, and the cheese was not too heavy. The pasta was al dente, fragrant, and instead of the cheap mushrooms other restaurants a similar level serve they had chunks of portabello. Friend also ordered the organic watercress and scallop soup, tasted pretty good. The food might be a tad bit bland for some, but better that than overly salty. Overall, the two dishes we had were of Central/Soho quality but at a lower price.
Their set dinner is below $200, and a good deal, but we couldn't eat that much so ordered a la carte.
They need some kind of advertising as there are no signs at all to announce this good find. We only happened upon it through this site.
