First time i visited Robuchon for lunch. last time it was for tea. We arrived at around 1230pm and avoided the lunch crowd. I think the Le sandwich pavé, baguettes make pretty good lunch deals. Normally you wouldn't expect to find anything below $50 in Landmark for lunch (except at 360, but prices are going up as well, and the food quality at 360 is not high. at all. so why not come here and grab a sandwich?) M and F ordered a Le sandwich pavé (cream cheese, bacon, vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes

M and F ordered a Le sandwich pavé (cream cheese, bacon, vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes) and a :chopstick:bacon baguette respectively. I did not try them. Therefore I cannot comment. but M said hers was tasty, partly because she liked sun-dried tomatoes. I like sun-dried tomatoes too. And M would revisit Robuchon for the same item. And M studies in the UK.
You can order take-out, or you can dine-in - the kitchen would reheat/toast your sandwich for you, and it'd be all nice and hot. mm. a hot sandwich, yumyum.
Since we were dining in, F asked me to order a more substantial dish. So from the extensive lunch menu I selected this pasta, because I am a pasta fan, and cream pea sauce sounded rather tempting.
Fettucine with bacon and mushroom in cream pea sauce. + bread rolls Bread rolls were fantastic. One was herbed, another had a somewhat meaty taste to it, the third one was sliced from a sourdough baguette. They were hot, different, bite-sized, and delicious. Especially the meaty little bun. It was slightly oily and meaty. mm. Pasta: It was good. It was a very substantial pasta dish because it was very creamy. And you know from the rich flavour that they put in real cheese. Pea i did not taste, and frankly i'd forgotten that it was really pea cream sauce until i read the menu again. so you could say the flavour didn't really come out..but..to be fair, can you really tell if something has pea in it? pea doesn't have a really strong flavour does it..? Unless its' pea concentrate. ^^'' the bacon was REALLY good. It's not the thinly sliced bacon you usually get. it's more like pancetta you would buy at supermarkets, cubed and packed into small expensive little packets. Nothing special about the mushroom - just good old cubed mushrooms, to complement the cubed pancetta. Together the whole thing was delicious. Filling, guilt-inducing but, nonetheless...yummy.
Oh yeah there were some rocket leaves on top too. Garnish i'd say.
And as you can see, the portion is quite small. All the better! That's about the right size for a girl. I could've had even less. But then customers might think it not worth their quid. ($150). Restaurants should really serve petit dishes, at a lower price, for ladies and children. And for those who wish to try a large variety of dishes.
Conclusion:
Yes, i would visit again. and i don't have much of a choice anyway. the fact that the sandwiches are so cheap is too big a plus to ignore!
