This is the first time we went to this delicate French bistro just a few streets away from the Times Square. We were a bit too early when we arrived at around 6pm so the manager/ owner (?) kindly let us wait outside while they were preparing for their dinner session. We were assigned to a seat right next to this giant fish tank, where we could see what’s going on in the kitchen area. The environment is really cosy and quiet though I might get quite noisy as so many people were dining here! Mean

We were given the menu shortly after we have settled down. The manager was really nice and explained every dish in detail though we finally decided to go for what he had recommended haha.
Cream of Italian Black Truffle Soup

We were asked with two types of bread, one with raspberry and the other the regular one. The bread is baked to the perfect temperature and as a bread-lover I really enjoy the soft insideAlongside was the cream of mushroom soup mixed with black truffle. Taste of black truffle was not that strong but it kind of adds on to the rich texture of the soup. Really appreciate that!

We had a Caesar salad with Iberico Ham. I must admit I’m really in love with the crunchy crisps whenever I had a Caesar salad.

We have upgraded one of the appetiser to this French Seafood Platter which, to my surprise, was really good despite the fact that I am not that much of a seafood lover. I took in charge the whelk shells Hokkaido scallop while the rose shrimp and French oyster went to my friend.
I have to say, those whelk shells were INSANE! I’m always avoid seafood, especially fresh ones because I’m too sensitive to the taste of “freshness” aka salty and fishy to me. But the ones I’ve tasted were not on the blacklist for sure. The whelk shells and scallop were huge and bouncy in texture. Side note: both of us thought the seafood was a bit too salty but that doesn’t affect the overall experience.

This is my very first time to have a full course dinner, so I was rather surprised when The lady asked me to choose a sauce from a range of 4 choices. Please correct me if I have made a silly combination!

My friend had the Charcoal Grilled U.S. Prime Black Angus Hang Tender in Sesame Peeled Green Pepper Sauce, medium. Some portions took a bit of effort to chew but overall it’s an amazing one. The sauce really highlights the savouriness of the whole dish.

The rice pudding was a surprise as I rarely see pineapple and coconut together on the dining table! At first bite, I could already tell how rich it was as with both the flavor of pineapple and coconut. The bottom part of the pudding was made of pineapple mousse and coconut sauce was set on top. While the two merged perfectly, giving a really smooth and interesting taste, the sticky rice on top was slightly too hard.
In general, I had a really nice dining experience here. The staffs were friendly and efficient, the environment is cozy and it is located at a really convenient spot! Definitely recommend this delicate restaurant to yall!
