It was a Wednesday night around 21:00. I was in a hurry and just was wanting something simple and quick tonight as I wasn’t even that hungry. I ended up walking in to Hung Lee due to the very nice man outside that helped get me an English menu and find what I was looking for.I was able to be seated immediately and I quickly ordered a dried shrimp rice noodle roll and an egg and ham sandwich.Both items were delivered in less than 3 minutes after I placed the order.Dried shrimp rice rolls: The tex

I was able to be seated immediately and I quickly ordered a dried shrimp rice noodle roll and an egg and ham sandwich.
Both items were delivered in less than 3 minutes after I placed the order.
Dried shrimp rice rolls: The texture for the roll was perfect. Slightly sticky, chewy, not doughy or powdery. I understand I ordered dried shrimp, but there wasn’t even a hint of shrimp flavor which was disappointing. Next time I’d go with the fried dough rice roll as the person next to me ordered it and it looked fabulous.
Egg and ham sandwich: The pan fried egg was over cooked to my liking and the ham was nicely pan fried. The bread was just store bought, not toasted, buttered or anything. Just a simple sandwich, but it hit the spot and was something I was craving.
I will give this restaurant another chance since Congee seems to be their specialty. From what everybody else was ordering it looked very good. I was just in the mood for something simple tonight and that’s what I got!
Also the prices were very nice
