Today our class went to Tai Wo to get lunch. My group went to this interesting looking restaurant called Pattern it has only been opened for an year.Once we went in we could hear calm and peaceful music running through our head it felt really relaxing and then we saw some glass cupboard on the walls and there were all sorts of toys in there lego, figures and much more. Once we went in we could hear calm and peaceful music running through our head it felt really relaxing and then we saw some glass cupboard on the walls and there were all sorts of toys in there lego, figures and much more. I think it is really creative doing that can attract kids to come. The chairs were really comfortable and really warm it feels really good since it is a cold winter day. The place was really clean and tidy there weren’t anything dirty on the floor or random pieces of food lying around and all the plates and utensils were clean.
Once we sat down straight away a waitress gave us some hot water and they had smiles on their faces. They all looked very kind and really friendly. When we ordered our food they would wait very patiently. The menus were very clear and had some pictures but, most of them don’t have a picture. I think it would be better if they added some pictures so the customers could see what everything looks like. They served the food fast and efficiently.
The food was really tasty. I ordered a spicy crispy chicken bacon burger with potato wedges. It was really good because the chicken was tasty, it was really crispy and the potato wedges were fat and quite big. One thing that they could have improved is to remove the onion skin from the burger (a small mistake) other than that it was awesome. We also ordered some crispy chicken wings which were also really good because there were some spices on them which gave it a really good taste. The chef recommended a salmon carbonara. Although none of us ordered it, I am pretty sure that it would be good.
The portions were very generous and we were too full for dessert. The drinks were also very good. I ordered a hot mint chocolate which was really minty and sweet in the same time. I really liked how they would draw a picture out of Hershey's chocolate spray like their restaurant logo and it was really detailed and creative.
Overall it is a really good restaurant just some little things that could be improved but most of it was good I would rate it a 4.5 star. Some of the food is quite expensive like the burger I ordered was 52$ but, I think it was worth it since there is quite a lot and it was very tasty.
I recommend you to go there if you like western cuisine.
