九龙区的繁华地段为一众食家带来这间精致而舒适的餐厅。温和的黄光,桌椅间的完美距离,加上难得的高天花,令整个环境都散发著一种幸福且满足的感觉,直觉今天的晚餐会是另一个充满喜悦的盛宴!

I must say this salmon sashimi is EPIC!! Never had I had this thick cut of salmon in all-you-can-eats! The whole tasting experience was almost magical – imagine a blast of freshness in your mouth, the tender meat rubbing in between your teeth, while watching this dried ice smoke effect… (Drooling again!)

一定一定要试的是经典的三文鱼刺身!我从未在放题餐厅试过如此厚切的三文鱼!每一块都泛夸人的淡橙色,整个过程用魔幻来形容也不失为过 ﹣幻想一下在口中爆发的鲜味,加上嫩滑的肉质在牙缝间磨蹭,还有眼前迷蒙的干冰烟雾效果… (*口水出没注意*)

Felt a bit thirty after relishing the whole sashimi plate in, I would say, 3 minutes? Nevermind, time to check the drinks. They offer quite a wide selection of drinks from Korea and Japan, of course together with the classis coke, sprite, Miranda and so on. Got excited to see Milkis – yeppy!!

在三分钟内消灭一碟嚣张的三文鱼后,有点口干,便到雪柜自取饮品。除了例牌的可乐雪碧美莲达外,还有一些日韩入口罐装饮品,当中也有我的最爱Milkis!! <3 甜甜的香味每次都为我带来一丝的幸福。

As time goes I realized something utterly weird about this eatery – rice must be really pricy here! Or how could you explain the abundant portion of fresh ingredients, but just a handful of rice? And to my pleasant surprise, the seaweeds were still crispy! I could feel this place was eating up the space in my heart …

I basically couldn’t tell the difference between fried pork and fried chicken. The tastes were kind of the same old low quality food – dry, rough to a point that it’s chewy, and no taste of meat. Credit deducted a bit…

抱歉地说句.. 我完全吃不出鸡肉和猪肉的分别。味道就像是街头的低水准炸物,非常干身,肉质亦粗糙得难以咀嚼,而且全没肉味,是颇扣分的一环…

Yet the coming dishes definitely deserve a FULL CREDIT!

The fried cheese was amazing. The crust was so thin that you could smell the aromatic cheese from far. The cheese, like all other string cheese, is a mix of cheddar and mozzarella, which give is the best texture for deep-frying. Taste was intense and smooth. Simple thing made perfect - Best fried cheese (among all-you-can-eats) in town!

一口炸芝士是完美却简单的话题作。脆皮炸的时间刚好,不油腻之余,更是「皮薄馅靓」,车打和水牛芝士的完美比例,令芝士团的质感在炸的过程中不会全溶,反而咬开时,会有一丝丝的芝士黏著咀唇,幼滑而浓郁,是放题餐厅中最好的炸芝士!

Sweet Potato Tempura is another signature. You can tell they’re freshly fried! Not at all oily, the crust is crispy and the taste of sweet potato is well protected. Good job!

蕃薯天妇罗是另一代表作!一试便会知道这是刚炸好的!不单只不油腻,甜蕃薯的味道在脆层里被牢牢地锁住,一次过在口腔中爆发!

I intended to order a fried vegetable as my palette cleanser but I was too wrong. The veggies are incredibly … salty.

本来想以炒野菜作为清清味蕾,但很快就发现这是个彻底的错误 ﹣ 菜只有一款(椰菜),而且是非常,非常的… 咸。

Feeling full, I looked out to the environment again, and not until now could I spot this salad bar serving popular Japanese appetizers! Exquisite! Not only the self-service bar can lower the operation cost, but also bring a fresh new concept to all-you-can-eat restaurants! Nice idea!

有点失望又有点手撑之际,我漫无目的的视线竟瞄到这个精致的沙律吧!以自助形式去拿这些热门的开胃菜,节省服务成本之余,亦为放题餐厅增添特色卖点,不俗的构思!

Looked out to this metropolitan city of Hong Kong, I could help but thinking – how many restaurants out there were struggling to attract diners, and in the end, how many of them could sustain till the end? I hope Daixiejia, this lovely eatery could stay, not to mention to be scalable, but one thing they need to work on as prerequisite, is their consistency of food quality.

从高处眺望这个大都市,我不禁想:有多少间餐厅在竞争中挣扎求存,而又有多少间在最后可以留下? 希望大喜家能以诚意成为留下的一员,但前提是,他们要好好研究一下,持续地维持食物质素的方法。
题外话/补充资料: Quality of food varies, but with excellent environment and service, this could be a revolutionary restaurant which brings a new breath to Japanese all-you-can-eat industry! Consistency is what matters!
