Booked a dining table at 6pm and arrived at 6:02pm (refer to Leave Home Safe record as proof).There should have 2 waitresses and the first one (let’s name it A) checked my reservation and brought me to the bar seat. I then told her that I reserved a dining table when made the reservation. She then replied “ALL dining tables are taken” … Indeed, there were still 2 tables were vacant so I wondered what kind of reservation system is that if it’s bases on “first come first serve”, I should then get

Indeed, there were still 2 tables were vacant so I wondered what kind of reservation system is that if it’s bases on “first come first serve”, I should then get the table eh? But if not, why others could get a table but I had to be assigned to bar seat?
Therefore, I told her again that I reserved a dining table, not bar seat. “A” then replied me again “ALL tables are taken, YOU SEE?”
It was kinda rude reply to a customer as of course I could see that there were 2 tables available!!!!!
I then replied her in a similar rude way (so what?) that “U didn’t get the point, I booked a dining table, not bar seat”
“A” then turned to a caucasian guy (should be one of the owners from their signature photo) and came back to me that I could take one of the tables … but then added a note to me that I’ve to return the table in 2 hours (yes it’s quite unusual that U could finish a French dining in 2 hours).
In any case, we took around 12mins to decided our orders (make sense since it’s first time visit).
We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, and 1 side.
The starters came at 6:25pm while mains came at 6:49pm/6:52pm (refer to photo records).
To be honest, the food is good and portion is big (not typical French).
At around 7:20pm, another waitress B came to us and asked if we wanted to make a last order. We then ordered 2 more desserts.
The desserts came at 7:37pm then they put down the bill at 7:40pm (I felt I was in a HK Cha Chaan Teng). To be honest, I purposely put aside the bill as I just started eating the dessert and I didn’t ask for the bill).
At 7:50pm, “B” came to us and asked us to pay the bill as we needed to return the table (not a friendly way). Of course, I then replied her that “I will return the table in 2 hours, don’t worry” (not a nice way neither since I wasn’t treated nice at the first place).
“B” then starring at me for 5 seconds then walked away (seriously?!)
I then purposely put down my card at 7:55pm as I knew there were still 5 mins for them to process the payment. But then they came to pick up at 8:01pm so we left the restaurant at 8:04pm.
And then guess what? For the 2 hours dining time, no one took the last table that I previously mentioned … 😒
Verdict: Dead sentence and one time only
The food is good but just normal good which there are tonz of good resto out there in HK.
What makes a restaurant stand out is definitely the service.
If U are running the restaurants in a cocky French way, then good luck to you.
Suggestion to the owners - if U want to turn the table in 2 slots, U should do 6pm and 8:30pm coz U are running a French restaurants, not HK Cha Chaan Teng.
We can still return the table to U in 2hours+ and at least it wont be rush like hell and the next customers don’t hv to wait outside from late 8pm … there should hv a gap in between as a common sense.
