Waking up with a feeling of enjoying my breakfast at a cha chaan ting. Went somewhere that opens early (7am). Macaroni was cooked in al dante, texture was exactly what I want for macaroni! It is more common to pair the topping with vermicelli but personally I prefer macaroni as they always filled with soup inside and for this, also filled with the salted veggies. Every bite was savoury. Pork was tender, not bad.
Eggs are something I want to highlight in this cha chaan ting (possibly this branch as well). I have been here few times trying sunny side, fried, scrambled eggs, all are cook perfectly. For those who don't prefer cooking scramble with milk, this restaurant may not be your cup of tea. Their scrambled eggs highlight cooking with Japanese milk. All in all, my sunny side eggs were again cooked perfectly. And see if scrambled eggs can be showed next time.
When talking about drinks, I would not recommend having coffee here, especially black. Sour and bitter with no coffee smell. Sometimes even tasted burnt. If you need a good coffee to start your day, better grab another proper one after.
Another highlight was seeing the poster reminding waites/waitresses ensuring clean dish edges on every dish sending out. All rice/ sauce and food left on the dish side must be wiped out before served. I know this sounds a common sense for server but seldom really posted it out especially in cha chaan ting. It is really appreciated that all staff were at least educated first and were required to have this attitude. Keep it up!
