I was again food hunting for an easy dinner in North Point and couldn't be bothered to keep walking 'window-searching' for restaurants, ending up getting into this bright, spacious vegetarian restaurant. Menu served variety of Chinese stir fried options, just like those local diners. While seating in, you could literally hear the stir frying wok sound from kitchen and smelled the scrumptious 'wok' savoury smell. I ordered braised eggplant, green beans and huazhimari ball in XO sauce. It was served with daily soup and I added HKD13 for rice.
Soup was alright, nothing special. Once the kitchen sent out my dish, you could hear the sizzling sound from the clay pot. Smell incredible and couldnt not to share my palate was stimulated for real mouth watering😂 (maybe because I was starving).
All toppings were coated so well in the XO sauce with mild spiciness. Whole pot was served crazily hot temperature that even last bite was still steamy. Vermicelli absorbed all the sauce that every steamy bite was satiating. Eggplant was first fried for extra flavour before stir frying in the clay pot! Every mouthful of rice was a hit to your palate! Boom boom boom! 💥 Huazhimari balls were served in generous amount (around 6). Chewy and umami. The only criticism was whole dish was quite oily, but it is understandable that made vermicelli non-stick and all toppings tasted exceptionally delicious.
It was quite a unique small vegetarian restaurant with many food options. I believe I will come back if passing by once again.
