Opened on the first of May, Shake Shack the burger place has become a famous spot for hipsters in town. I arrived at Shake Shack at 18:30 on a Tuesday and the queue was not long enough to make us stand under 33 degree celsius - I still managed to just queue up inside although there were 30 people in front of me. Chatting along the waiting time, my friends and I managed to greet the cashier after 15 minutes - which wasn’t long at all.
Service: 4/5
The cashier was very cheerful - unlike those working for most of the fast food places. She gave me an electronic device which called me up when the order was completely ready so I didn’t have to stand and wait. It is very wise for a famous shop like this to adapt this system because everywhere would be blocked by people waiting if they can’t manage to sit people.
However, there were no people coordinating seats inside the shop so that a lot of single seats existed inside the shop so a lot of double riders had to find seats outside.
Environment: 3.5/5
The indoor area is too small but this is understandable. Rent in IFC is perhaps one of the most expensive things to businesses. But sitting outside eating hot burger and fries might not be the best idea in humid summer season.

The signature burger of single size was in a good size for me, a lady who wasn’t starving. The molten cheese inside complemented the crispy lettuce well and it also neutralised the sourness of the two tomato slices. I’m personally a tomato hater so the hot molten cheese really saved me.
The meat inside was juicy and the taste of beef was strong. Unlike meat inside burgers coming from cheap burger places, the meat of Shack Burger didn’t fall apart easily - which also saved my white dress.

The portion was big enough for two ladies, especially both of us had already got our own burger and Milk Shake, which could be very filling. Fries were really crispy and hot - mind your tongue!

It didn’t taste anything close to a Hong Kong milk tea… more like a Thai milk tea. But overall - it tastes nice!
