Over priced and under staffedI want to make clear that when the staff can get to us they are always lovely, so this comment is not against them but against the management.They advertised a two hours semi-buffet lunch for about 800+ HKD per person. They advertised a two hours semi-buffet lunch for about 800+ HKD per person. They said the semi buffet came with grilled skewers from the kitchen every 10 minutes. Neither of which was true. We booked from 2:15 to 4:15, by 3:50 they removed the semi buffet. some food is still available if you are willing to grab and eat with your bare hands since all utensils were gone. The skewers only came out three times over this period, one of which we had to ask for. Instead of a selection of " seafood, meat, sausage, tender chicken" we had chicken and squid skewers only over these two hours. When asked to speak to manager he made clear we misunderstood what two hours semi buffet meant and he was just doing his job to get ready for the afternoon tea crowd. Right at 4:15 they started sweeping and vacuuming, perhaps as a reminder for all guests to leave.
All in all, very disappointing for a restaurant at The Murray. Free flow was not really a free flow because they are so understaffed it took a while for the staff to get to you though they were super courteous at all times. They offered waiving the service charge and we told them not to bother, they then waived the fee for the free flows we ordered. Nice gesture, but will maintain that it is not worth it. will not return and does not recommend.
