Apparently the mastermind behind Sevva’s bakery, Bonnae Gokson, also operates various businesses across HK selling delicious cakes. I had a dinner with some friends in TST so I decided to try out the café, C’est la B.I got there at around 7 and the restaurant was empty. I guess most of their business comes from their cakes. For an upscale brand the interior actually had a very casual vibe, where you can sit wherever you want and it’s semi self-serve (although they do charge a 10% service charge

So I was sitting there waiting for my friends when I had a major coughing fit. I asked the waiter if he could bring me some warm water and guess what he said? “Do you want the one with honey or the one with lemon? You can choose from our menu.” GEEZ. So a restaurant/café who charges $130+ per entrée cannot even afford to give a customer in need some free warm water. Go figure.
Anyhow, their menu was more extensive than I expected though everything is pretty pricey ($100+). They do have a deal where you can order a bento box and add $40 for soup, dessert & drink , but unfortunately it is a lunchtime special so we had to suck it up and order regular priced items.
They seem to specialize in bento boxes so we all ordered one. I got the Saigon Bento Box which was lemongrass chicken over cold Vietnamese noodles. It came with a side of salad and two pieces of fried chicken.

-The salad was fresh and had an appetizing dressing. Not bad!
-The chicken pieces were very well done – thin crispy crust and the meat inside was very very juicy. Delicious!
-The lemongrass chicken was also pretty good. Tender and juicy, and it had a strong lemongrass flavour. Also loved the additional of fried garlic on top hehe. I wish there were more skin though

-They used Vietnamese cellophane noodles as a base. It was a little bit overcooked and broke into many little pieces so it was a bit hard to eat. Also I seemed to have poured in too much sauce so I found it too sour.
-The portion was small and I was still hungry after finishing it.
While the desserts looked very attractive we decided to pass because they were too expensive (like $60 each). I’ll be back in the future for their cakes, but will probably get it to go since I can get free warm water at home lol.
