Looking for a quick bite? 谭仔三哥/谭仔 is the place! Love how there are chains all over HK, and they’re really affordable. Currently, they’re offering new selections with a theme of sour and spicy (酸辣)! I’ve ordered all of the new dishes at once and it was a mixture of hot, sour and spicy from the soup noodle; cold sour and spicy from the side dish end refreshing sweet and sour from the drink. Talk about a sour, spicy and sweet combo 🙈 overall my mouth was having an explosion of flavors and recommend
🍜 螺酸汤猪皮螺片米线 - this is my first time trying Tam Kai’s sour spicy soup. When it first came I noticed it was very fragrant. I love how the pigskin was soaked into the soup, which added sweetness to the dish. Finally, the conch was a nice addition to the noodles, and the bamboo shoots added a nice crisp. The more I ate this, the more heat I felt 🔥 and the more enjoyable this dish was 😍
🌶 椒麻凉拌鱼爽肚 - this side dish has always been popular as a cold snack. It was very refreshing to eat after a warm bowl of spicy noodles. The sauce had pepper and sesame and loved the addition of the cucumbers. The cucumbers gave a nice crunchy texture to accompany the fish belly😍
🍹 凤梨蓝蝶花香特饮 - I am a huge fan of butterfly pea, so when I saw this I had to order it! It’s a mixture of butterfly pea, pineapple and lime. Giving that sweet and sour taste - be sure to give it a mix! Finally the tiny floral detail - the drink was very fragrant!
