We found Joy House right off the mid-level escalators and were shocked at how good the drinks and dinner were. They had friendly staff that was open to a nice chat. We initially went in and ordered two of their specialty cocktails (which they had a huge selection of) we ordered the “You May Fun” and the “R&C”. When we first saw the “You May Fun” we were shocked, there was a passion fruit on top with dried plums. After speaking to the bar-tender he mentioned that we can add the plums into the drink to our liking, the drink was both sweet and sour and was extremely refreshing. WE also got the R&C which was a nice Gin and Hojicha liqueur mixed drink. It was mixed to perfection with a nice bitter taste.
For our starters, we got a nice caesar salad, which was topped with a generous portion of smoked salmon, bacon, and cheese. The smoked salmon was very high quality and mixed with the cheese and salad itself, was a great start to our meal.
For our mains, we got a porcini, wild mushroom risotto. As a risotto lover, I felt like I was back at home. The rice and mushrooms were cooked perfectly together and were exactly what I was looking for. We also got the Sous Vide Grilled Spanish Pork Loin with Bacon Wrap. This came with freshly made sweet mashed potatoes, which we were told was made directly in the resultant as well as some grilled baby carrots and honey gravy. This was absolutely fantastic, the bacon and pork worked perfectly together and the mix of mashed sweet potatoes and the sauce was awesome. Highly recommend.
