My friend and I arrived with no reservation at around 12:15. We were lucky to secure a table within 5 min but we were told that we can only have the table on the condition that we return the table within an hr. For the mains, we opted for the two brown rice options. 1) brown rice with scalop
The brown rice looked to have the consistency of a risotto which was a present surprise. The scallop was a bit overcooked but didn't disappoint.
2) brown rice with chestnuts and pumpkinThis also had the consistency of risotto. The Chestnut flavour really stood out and lifted the dish. That with the pumpkin made the dish extra filling.
We had a hard time finishing both the dishes and we were reminded that our hr is coming to an end. I was a bit annoyed when the waiter whisked away my dish when I had last few bites left. I felt it was rude to not clarify whether I was done or not (I wasn't!). The ambiance is great, food was decent but weekday lunch is not a time to come here for a long catch up. Perhaps if you get a booking, it will be different. Also, maybe quickly browse and decide on what you want to eat while waiting so you don't use up the seated time in ordering.
