Boyfriend and I were walking around Mong Kok waiting for friends so we could have dinner together. We walked by the stretch of stalls that sell all sorts of street food when we noticed this one called 和藏桂林夜市. There is no English name but it's a small stand with a number of deep fried items to snack on.Menu and items are all labelled in Chinese but you can basically point to what you want as everything is displayed in front of you.Boyfriend ordered salt and pepper deep fried squid tenticles ($25

Boyfriend ordered salt and pepper deep fried squid tenticles ($25). These were placed in a bag and more seasoning was sprinkled in. They tasted pretty good. It was fried nicely, with the tenticles still tender. Heavily seasoned and fairly spicy. They do one strange thing where they toss in a couple of pieces repeatedly and shout "we're giving you a good deal for more pieces" but in actuality, there wasn't really that much in our bag. It just gave an illusion of adding more and more into the bag. I have no idea why they did that? Might return if have a craving.
