Today I was around Mong Kok and wanted some hearty food. I stopped by the Food Court in Langham Place and decided to get me a sizzling hot plate from Pepper Lunch.The appearance of the shop is quite catching, loads of people do catch there sizzling plates and it smells really fragrant.I ordered the Double Burger and Egg plate, which comes with some beansprouts, green beans and sweet corn, as well as a bowl of white rice aside. The appearance of the shop is quite catching, loads of people do catch there sizzling plates and it smells really fragrant.
I ordered the Double Burger and Egg plate, which comes with some beansprouts, green beans and sweet corn, as well as a bowl of white rice aside. For $54 Dollars not that bad at first. I have to say, while the fragrance of the fresh beef and pepper is really good, the burger meat won't get well done within the time the plate keeps sizzling. I left the burger aside and finished all the rest from the plate, but the burger meat never became well done...
Taste-wise the meal lifts up to my expectations, the rice is spicy with the pepper and the sauces are actually well balanced. You can choose between steak sauce, honey and chili.
Next time I will try there famous beef rice, which should be possible to cook well done, since the beef is fine sliced.
