A local economical restaurant I would like to share for long. There are many branches which I found either okay or tasted not as good, the Shau Kei Wan branch was definitely a highlight. Not just the price is cheap, their food quality and portion are promising and stable. Staff is always welcoming and often introduces their cheap deal. As usual, I ordered their beef tripe vermicelli with seaweed and a cup of soy milk.
There were at least 6-8 pieces of tripes given. Soft but also tender. Very savoury. Every bite was a squeeze of the beef sauce. A spoonful of diced Chinese chives and coriander was served on a side. Seaweed was again generously given that covered 3/4 of the whole bowl. It gave an ocean kind of saltiness to the vermicelli. Vermicelli was in huge handful. Honestly, vermicelli can hardly fill me up or just my afternoon tea but this bowl portion filled me up well. They cooked perfectly and their vermicelli used had a mild rice flavour. I really like it a lot.
Their soy milk was also serving in a big cup. Creamy and rich soy flavour that satiated your whole appetite.
Overall, a simple, easy and economical restaurant with hidden authentic goodness.
