It was a Friday evening, and I was hanging around with my friend around the Southorn Playground for supper. Along the streets, there were quite a lot of restaurants, but we ended up in this restaurant because it seemed to have provided a greater choices and variety of food, under a reasonable price.I was still quiet when we entered as it was still early, around six something. It still felt pretty crowded even needing to put all our bags on the floor. I just simply think they didn't provide enough space for each customers.
The staff were pretty friendly, but yet they also seemed a little bit impatience when we were reading the menus and couldn't decide what to order at an instant.
There were a great variety of food choices, from soup noodles to steaks. Typical Hong Kong-style restaurant, but even with that, it still has a great variety. In the end, my friend ordered a steak set, which included borsch soup, and I had a curry seafood fried rice, along with a cup of hot ovaltine.
The ovaltine was quite nice indeed, pretty smooth in texture and it's not too heavy, just right for me. The borsch soup that my friend had looked a bit watery though, I guess nothing special should be expected about it.
Then, the steak set came first. It was not presented too messily, in which I was actually impressed by it's neat presentation. I had a few bites of the steak, and to my surprise, the texture was very tender and was savory. Of course you can't expect a really high quality of steak but for steaks in non-prestigious restaurants, it was good. Mind that it was only $3X. The french fries were moderate, nothing too special. The broccoli, however, was disastrous actually, dry and tasteless, but it was merely something unimportant of the dish, that I would neglect this fact when rating the dish.
