Spotted this newly opened siumei restaurant on Nathan Road. Enticed by the freshly roasted goose with glistening skin. Afternoon tea sets start from $42 which comes with soup of the day or a drink. The restaurant is bright and clean compared to many other siumei eateries. Barbecue sauce was sweet and sticky. Forgot to ask for half fat half lean charsiu and got the lean cut but the meat was still pretty tender. Pork ribs used to be a popular item decades ago but have pretty much disappeared so we were thrilled to be able to try them here.
The marinade of roast goose was intense. The skin is thin with a crimson red scorch and charcoal aroma. Roast pork was the MVP among what we ordered. Crispy skin layered with a good amount of fat and juicy tender meat.
