Korea is a country infamous for its glacial winters, with piercing ice and numbing snow pelting against the inhabitants of the frozen tundra. In these harsh elements of sub-zero temperate, inhabitants have developed ways to keep themselves warm with the element of fire. Some of infused it into the foods they eat, as they combine the powers of ingredients to create a cure for the winter. Seeing the weather as cold from the oncoming gale wind striking, I seek to go seek the fire of these foods. As

In these harsh elements of sub-zero temperate, inhabitants have developed ways to keep themselves warm with the element of fire. Some of infused it into the foods they eat, as they combine the powers of ingredients to create a cure for the winter. Seeing the weather as cold from the oncoming gale wind striking, I seek to go seek the fire of these foods. As I entered the restaurant, I was told to wait for 5 minutes, a sign that many have come to seek it as well.

I got seated in one of the chairs and started to order. The first thing which came was the appetisers:

This contains bunch of vegetables on the left, potatoes in the middle, and Kimchi on the right. The vegetables taste somewhat with fibers and give off a taste of fresh leaves. The potato is sweet and soft, like those sweet potatoes you eat in winter. Whilst the Kimchi reflects a spicy, hot tingling feeling in my mouth, vegetables bursting into hot flames tingling my mouth, just as if they were lit by fire. Exactly what I need, the heat of spices. One of the many secrets of the fire, including spices.

Next was the hot stone pot of mixed rice:

This pot is steaming with heat when taken out of the kitchen, as waiters with protective heat gloves gingerly place the pot of rice on the table. The pot is scattered with multiple ingredients, namely carrot, beef, soy bean sprout, and cabbage. Beneath the seaweed, there hides an egg, as I move it, it bursts into a sea of hot yolk, encapsulating the mixture of rice as I blend the ingredients together, forming into a sea of mixed beef and various vegetables, blending into a mixture of flavours. The hot ingredients reach the mouth and heat it up with fire. The second secret of fire: serve the dish hot.

Last, is my favourite, the pog spicy Cheese pork.

This dish is synonymous with its strong spice taste intertwined with the smell of cheese. The pork is drenched in the Korean spice sauce, bringing flavour right into the meat. The cheese sticks the pork well and gives a sense of the strands of cheese pulling from the meat. This, coupled with the spice sauce in the pork to deliver a very nice final blow of spices into my mouth.

I feel I have been reheated as I exit the restaurant, paying the bills.
