it had been sometime since i last had the famous 3-inch egg sandwich at hokkaido dairy farm restaurant, for i found it impossible to finish one whole set on my own. this time i was lucky enough to have a friend who was willing to share a set with me, so we ordered a sandwich set, specially requested to have it toasted, and i had an iced bran horlick for drink.

the sandwich was visually stunning, with the two top flips of toasts bouncing when the sandwich landed on the table like a mothership. the egg was also impressive for it had a milky yellowish tint and a sweet aroma which made people wanted to eat the whole thing up immediately! i took a bite and the egg was not only pipping hot but also soft and sweet in taste. it was not hard nor undercooked but just alright in every aspect. the toasted bread was also lovely and it didnt not go soggy (for i remove it from the plate once it arrived-a little hint on how to keep the toast crispy actually!) because of the layer of butter on it. all it all, it was a perfect sandwich.

the iced bran horlick was also good for there was indeed a lot of bran in it! it was also tasty and not watery, unlike whats served in a lot other local chan chen tangs.

i paid 20 for dinner for my friend didnt hv the drink-a bargin actually, considering the quality of the bouncy sandwich served
